All Lives Are Important
By J. Floyd
Upsetting news concerning national events has encouraged me to write about life and the value of it. This week marks the third anniversary of my son’s death. It still gives me sadness as I reflect on how much I miss him. It is the second child I have lost in this lifetime. I feel the pain of parents, children, aunts, uncles, friends, and grandparents who have lost a loved one in their life. I know what a broken heart feels like. A life on this earth is special and important. Each person touches others and leaves an imprint that lasts forever. A life cannot be replaced. All lives are important. It doesn’t matter what religion, career, philosophy, skin color, or ethnicity. Every person is a child of a Supreme Being with divine attributes. All life should be valued and cherished. There are so many wonderful people in this world with ideas to contribute. We don’t always have to agree, but we need to be tolerant and loving. The planet would be better if we share ideas and value each individual.
